Thanksgiving

We had a fun Thanksgiving with lots of family. It doesn't get better than that! Tron & Lara came down from Idaho, we had the Manuel's, my parents, Jenner, Leonora and Eric, and us (minus Sidney).

Looks pretty comfy! Zildy is probably looking at the Black Friday or Brown Thursday sales.

Lots of yummy food.

The kids/teens table.

The singles table.

The married tables.

So the ward missionaries had a lofty idea to "Fill the Manger". We put together lots of service projects like serving the homeless, collecting blankets for a youth center, and giving bags of food to an elementary school. We did all of these acts of service and then encouraged members of our ward to do their own acts of service also. Everytime someone did an act of service they would put a straw in the manger. We first made small mangers for every family in the ward, painted them and passed them out. We also put together this big manger that was put at a corner central to the ward. It was an awesome project. We did not think we would be able to reach the goal for the elementary school but slowly and surely we did. Our ward is just amazing!

Cee Ryle had his wisdom teeth taken out on black Friday. He doesn't care about shopping anyways!

Our thankful wall!!!

I know we are so silly. We had to send a picture to Sidney.

We also went to the Family History Center. They have a new area where you can find out all kinds of fun and interesting facts about your name, family, etc.

Les Mis

Cee Ryle had the honor and pleasure of being a part of the Les Mis cast at the high school. WOW!!! What a powerful musical! Definetly one of our favorites. The music, the acting, the lessons learned from the story! Cee Ryle of course is an awesome actor and singer!!!

Sidney leaves for her mission

 November 4, 2015
The long awaited day was here! The day Sidney would go into the MTC. Ahhh. I've never done this before with my own child so I didn't know what to expect... We stopped at Jamba Juice so Sidney could get her free juice before being dropped off. Zildy, Jasmine, and Zuri joined us.

One last selfie with my cute missionary!

This picture brings so many mixed emotions to me! Our last family picture for 18 months. The picture makes me happy because we are all together as a family! Seeing Sidney's happy face brings me joy because she is so thrilled to go into the mission field. We are all smiling! But inside my heart was breaking!

Oh how I love my children. Here they are trying to spend every last moment with their sister!

Tender moment. We will miss our Sidney! But we know she is doing what is right! She is sacrificing 18 months of her life to share the gospel with others! It is a priviledge to have missionary. I think of the quote "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it"

Bye Hermana Brown! We love you!!!
See you in 18 months!!!

After dropping Sidney off we went to see Carina's apartment and to have some lunch.

Halloween 2015

Cee Ryle went to the Halloween dance with Jessica. Here are a few of the pictures from the dance:

For Halloween we went trick or treating in this cute little neighborhood in Salt Lake. We have been going here for a few years now because it's a good in between place for both us and the Manuels. We just had to get some pictures before it got dark.

Carina came to hang out with us! She looked a little scary but we loved having her with us.
