Universal Studios was only open from
8:00am to 6:00pm. So we had to maximize that time and be there when it
opened. Breakfast didn't start till 7:00am so we ate a quick breakfast of
bagels and juice. Not the greatest continental breakfast but at least it
got us going. After the drive and parking we got in the park at
8:15am. Not bad!
Just having fun on our way into the park.
The Adventure Begins...
At the entrance of the
Wizarding World of Harry Potter the first thing you see is the Hogwarts Express
And then you can see the amazing
view of Hogsmeade.
The restroom where you can
hear Moaning Myrtle talking. G did not like it at all.
The first thing we did is get
in line for Ollivander's Wand Shop. People can go in and Ollivander will
choose someone to be fit with a wand. CR was lucky to be chosen. It
was sooo real. He tried a few different wands that did not work for him
(they caused havoc when he used them). Finally a wand that worked!
We regret not having filmed it.
Afterwards we went to the
Hogwarts Castle. We think there is normally long lines and so they have
all kinds of displays and things to see along the way but there was no line so
we walked through fairly quickly. It was pretty amazing and realistic.
The ride was great also. We did have to "child swap" cause G wasn't tall enough to ride. As you ride it feels as if you are riding a broom with Harry, Ron and Hermione.
Then it was time to go to
Honeyduke's. WOW!
After Harry Potter it was time
for Seuss Landing.
For lunch we went back to
Hogsmeade to eat at The Three Broomsticks.
We had a feast! Everything was great especially the
butterbeer!

After lunch we went to Marvel Hero
Island.
C's just loves Captain America.
Toon Lagoon
C and KC went on this log ride. The rest of us just watched and waited for them to come down. We took like 1000 pictures hoping to get them. And we finally did!
At the Lost Continent. We
saw Poseidon Fury. This was probably our longest wait... about 20
minutes. It was a pretty cool presentation. G fell asleep and that
was probably a good thing because there was a lot of lights and sounds that
would have scared her.
Jurassic Park
We rode on this river
adventure ride. It allowed G on so we were certain it couldn't be bad
right? WRONG. It was mild at first and G was fine but the drop was
pretty big. We were all kind of in shock. We all experienced it
together so it was great!
We got to see everything at the park
so to end the day we went back to Hogsmeade to buy some souvenirs and more
pictures. The students at their respective houses (almost):
CR=Griffindor
S=Slytherin
C=Ravenclaw
K=Ravenclaw 
Before leaving we had to stop and get some candy.
Let's just say we had a fun day!
