October 2017

October started with General Conference. 

Brianna and Trevar had tickets to conference so they all went together.

I don't know if I mentioned earlier that I got into this Health Challenge with some ladies in the ward. Every week we had different challenges to accomplish on top of eating health, tracking the food we ate, exercising, drinking water, etc. So in this post there are various pictures of the challenges. This one is of a hike from last week.

The challenge this week was to go on 3 bike rides. Casey is is supportive and went on those with me.

Gracie even joined us for a Saturday bike ride.

One week we had to make healthy meals and share them. There are some breakfast tostadas that I made. They were delicious!

We celebrated Sidney's and Kailee's birthdays together since we didn't get to celebrate as a family. We went to the Melting Pot.

I had a conference for work in Provo for a couple of days and during our lunch break (since I needed to get some steps) I walked around downtown and on the temple grounds. I love it when I can escape the world for a few minutes and put things in an eternal perspective.

Gracie's activity days group did a "Freaky Friday" mother/daughter activity and she dressed up as me and I dressed up as her. It was so cute and fun!

So tired they both crashed!

Celebrating October birthdays!

Swimming week for the health challenge.

We were cast in a music video that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was filming. This is the information we were given: "We are casting a music video for The Mormon Tabernacle Choir song, "Come Little Children" for the Christmas season. This majority of the scenes will take place in a hospital setting, in a children's cancer ward where a young girl and her family help spread hope and joy to others during the Christmas season." 

Gracie got to play the part of one of the cancer patients so they put a bald cap on her. She wasn't too happy because it took a long time to do and she had to sit still and her hair was pulled really tight.

She looked really good though (or maybe real is a better word).

This filming took place during our fall break. It was nice that we could all do it together.

On our other day of fall break Tayevion came to spend the night and we went hiking in Bountiful.

On Saturday we went to Lagoon for UOP Alumni day.

Another hike. This challenge was awesome cause we got to go on lots of small outings.

October 29th birthdays

October was a busy month after all!
