Miami B's

Jef's family was in Cheyenne for some of the summer and they took a weekend to come out to see us. We went to the Manti Pageant on Friday night.  It was awesome of course.
First we went to have the traditional turkey dinner at the church.  It was sooo yummy!
Then we went to our seats and waited for the show to start.
A picture with some of the cast members.
This is how the temple looked when we left.

Catch Up

I will get caught up with my blog. I will post once a day at least until I catch up. That is of course as long as we don't have company over or are out of town. I just had to say this so that I will do it. I'm a pretty pathetic blogger I know!

Things in the Ft. Worth household have changed a little since we were there but I will remember it as it was when we were there.

Stake Olympics

After getting home at 3am from Manti. We had our Stake Olympics and KC was determined to run the 5K.  So he got up really early so he could participate.  He came in like 7th or something.  Awesome for hardly having any sleep.
Little by little we all decided to participate to help out our ward.
Even me?  When a body is better than nothing right?
We all had a blast and a little excercise.

CR earns his Bear in Cub Scouts

It looks like he is enjoying the recognition!

I hate this picture of me! Why do mom's have to get a pin anyways?
In order for CR to earn an award he had to mow the lawn.  He can't quite reach the pedals so daddy had to help him.

Ballet Recital 2009

The theme for the recital this year was Utah.
C was in the "skaters" dance.

S was in the "square dancer" dance.
They were both in the "snakes" dance for jazz.
They both did an awesome job.  They have been working so hard and it shows!

Christmas Carol Tour

We waited in line forever but we were all hanging out so it was fun.
Yummy Christmas Feast!  In the middle of the summer.
Having lunch afterwards.

Girl's Camp

Opening Ceremonies
We were supposed to go camping in a land far far away but it had been raining non-stop and they were worried that we would not be able to get up to the campsite so they changed our location to Cherry Hill.  Less than 2 miles from home and in our Stake boundaries!
So we did the best we could with what we had been given.  In the above picture we are practicing our Lyp Sync "Goodbye".
Making jewelry out of washers.
C teaching us the "how down, throw down."
Stake activity
Playing matches
Look at the sky!!!
Beauty night inside our condo tent.  We are putting rags in the YW's hair.
Camp turned out fine and we had lots of fun it just was not what we planned.  We went to the church for dinner with the bishopric and had a devotional at the stake center.  We then had our testimony meeting in the backyard of Dani's house.  They have a fire pit so it made it a little more like camp.  Then we went home after that instead of staying the night at camp and coming home the next day.
I love YW!  They are so fun and full of life!

CR's 10th Birthday

CR wanted to go to the HAFB air show for his birthday!
We don't usually get to do too many boy things so we took advantage of this. We love having CR in our family.  He is so fun and smart!  He is a good example to everyone around him including his family and friends.
We went to S baptism afterwards.
The two birthday boys!
Opening presents the night of his birthday.
Birthday party on Sunday with family.

K's HS Graduation

Wow, where has the time gone?
She's so pretty!
It was a huge graduating class with over 700 seniors.  I would have to say that it went pretty fast though!
There she goes!
When we finally found her after the ceremony with both sets of grandparents.  She is the first grandaughter on both sides.
How proud and lucky we feel to have her as our daughter!  Good Job K!
Afterwards we went to Olive Garden for dinner.  M's met us there.
It was a wonderful day!
