Mexican Riviera Cruise: Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, & Puerto Vallarta

Our first stop was CABO SAN LUCAS. We had to be shuttled over on boats because the ship couldn't get close to the shore. I wish I would have filmed us while we waited for our number to be called so we could go on the shuttle. But just thinking about it makes me laugh! We were playing Nertz while we waited. Numbers were being called and we thought we had plenty of time. When it started getting close to our number we thought we still had enough time so we kept playing. All of the sudden our number was called and we all FREAKED OUT cards everywhere, yelling at each other to hurry, ahhhh I couldn't do anything cause I was just laughing so hard! Needless to say, we were fine and we got to our boat without any problem.

Although, Cabo was the craziest day, it was the most memorable!

One good thing about getting on another boat to get to shore was that I could get pictures of our ship The Oosterdam.

Trying to take a selfie in full sun! Total fail! Kailee's eyes are closed but is smiling! Sidney is trying but just can't do it! Gracie is smiling but her eyes just can't handle the sun! Casey is trying to help me take the selfie! I'm frowning! Carina is in front of us probably laughing!!!

Second attempt at the selfie! A little better! After this we just gave up!

We talked to some travel person when we got off because we had no idea what we wanted to do, besides shopping. Cee Ryle didn't care to shop so he went to the beach to explore on his own. We asked this guy where we could get souvenirs. He said Walmart wasn't too far and that that would be the cheapest place. So we decided to go find Walmart. Well, this took us on an unforgettable adventure!

First we caught a bus. We asked before getting on if it went to Walmart and we were told it did... Kailee was looking on maps and noticed that we were not getting close to Walmart but we were going farther away. So I asked another person on the bus and he said this bus did go to Walmart but in a different town!!! Ahhh

We decided to get off at the next stop and catch an Uber to Walmart. Well the Uber car only fit four people so Casey and I told the girls to take the Uber and we would just catch the bus back and meet them there. They were hesitant but they got on. Sidney spoke to the driver in Spanish and asked if we could just pile in since it wasn't very far. Since it was Mexico and they tend to not follow rules very strictly, the driver allowed us all to get in.

Here we are in the back of the car.
Walmart wasn't worth the craziness but we did make it there and then we decided to go back tot he touristy area to avoid further problems. Casey found a beach that we could walk to. It was beautiful! And very quiet! Come to find out that it was private beach from the resort! I guess that's why it was so nice! Oh well, we got to enjoy the ocean and the sun!

Cee Ryle met up with us and we had some fish tacos before heading back.
Great day! Crazy but fun! That's the way we make memories!

Second port was MAZATLAN. This time we only needed to be bused out. So no pandemonium :)

Isla de la Piedra
This was the view of Mazatlan from the ship

My happiest moments always involve these people!

This time we just walked to the center of town.

And took pictures along the way.

At the central park there was some kind of dancing going on.

Immaculate Conception Cathedral

After walking around the town we headed over to the beach

Old slide that goes into the ocean. It has not water on it so Cee Ryle climbed up.

There were people cliff diving into the ocean from way up there! Scary but a few did it! They were collecting money for their efforts.

This is where they were jumping into!

Devi's Cave

I got to have fresh coconut :)
We had a fun, peaceful last day of 2019!

Our third and final stop was PUERTO VALLARTA on the first day of 2020.

We got to the port and this is what we saw... Walmart, Sam's Club and a mall. Hmm OK.
Since it was raining pretty hard and we didn't have many plans for Puerto Vallarta we headed out across the street to go see some stores. We didn't wan to sit on the ship, we had to go explore a little. Sam's Club and Walmart were the same as in the US but then we went to a mall that was next to them called Galerias Vallarta.

The best thing about this mall was this amazing store called Miniso! We were so happy and spent a bunch of time there listening to the same Jimgle Bells song over and over again!

There's our ship

We went back to the ship to have some lunch and see how Cee Ryle's excursion went.

Afterwards we went back out to go see the sites of the city. We thought it might stop raining but no, it rained all day! But we are brave and we go out rain or shine!
Sad but true!

Being silly in the rain! My hair was already a mess so...

Going back to the ship
