California Vacation Days 1-2

We had one day to get ready for our vacation to CA.  We had such a hard time scheduling a vacation this summer because of the many activities that our kids were involved with.  So we finally found a week we could go but it had to be in between my classes.  So we left early Thursday morning.  We took a break in Saint George and saw the temple.
Then we stopped in Las Vegas so the kids could just see what it was like.
We walked around the strip for a little bit and went into a couple of casinos.  The temperature was 108 and we had enough of Vegas in less than 2 hours.  It was enough to let the kids experience that atmosphere and know that it's not the ideal place to be (at least the strip).

Because of traffic it took us for-ever to get out of the city and get on our way.  We didn't get to our rental home until about 10:30pm.

This is our cute rental home.  It was so comfortable and nice!

Friday we spent the day just getting used to the area, explored a few of the beaches and got ready for the rest of our week.
We saw this at Laguna Beach and I thought it was hilarious since we kind of felt the same way in June when we kept waiting for summer to come.
