25th Anniversay - Day 7 - Pisa & Cinque Terre (May 5, 2015)

On Tuesday we got up early and took a train to Pisa (about 90 minutes on train). We got to the city of Pisa and then we had to take a bus to this location. Piazza Dei Miracoli or the field of miracles.

It really is leaning.

It the job of every tourist to help hold up the tower. So we did our part!

I'm a gigant!

The bells at the top of the tower.

The staircase

The tower has been stabalized with metal. This view is from the inside.

The bell tower belongs to this cathedral.

We were at Pisa for a few hours and then we took another train to get us to Cinque Terre. Five towns right by the coast that are connected by a trail. We were not able to go on the trail right by the coast because there had been some landslides and there was damage to the trails. We could walk on the road and then hike through the mountain to get to the next town so that is what we did.

This was at the start of the trail. Their signs are so cute!

Oh this place was soooo beautiful!

The hike we went on was not easy.

Ahh we finally made it to the top!

Here are just a bunch of fun pictures.

This was just a normal picture but Casey kept taking pictures and I didn't know what else to do so I kept posing. Oh so silly!

A more simple cathedral but still beautiful.

We took a boat between one town to another so we could see the towns from the water.

Oh delicious gelato.

I loved their signs I coudn't stop taking pictures of them.

We had dinner at this cute restaurant right on the beach. This was our view.

One more...

I loved this day! It was so relaxing (besides the tough hike) and beautiful. It was nice to get away from all of the touristy sights and see the beautiful sceanery of Italy.

Distance walked: 7.7 miles or 18,504 steps.

hahaha that last sign! You should show it to Gracie, she'd laugh so hard at it.
